State Police identify Boston man found under several feet of snow

New York State Police released the name of a man killed during this week’s historic snowstorm.

Police in Boston found 57-year-old Jon Barsam underneath several feet of snow at the base of his front porch steps. They had gone looking for him when a neighbor reported that he had not been seen in two days.

Barsam was taken to the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A preliminary investigation suggests he was not in the process of removing snow.

His death remains under investigation.
