NIAGARA FALLS – A group that aids homeless veterans in Niagara County is making plans to transport as many as possible to a free Thanksgiving dinner Tuesday in Niagara Falls. No reservations are needed.
S.E.R.V. Niagara plans the meal for 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday in Frederick F. Cadille American Legion Post 1664 in the City Market off Pine Avenue.
Transportation will run from the Lockport VA Outreach Center, 5883 Snyder Drive, at 12:15 and 2 p.m., and from the Lockport Public Library, 23 East Ave., at 12:30 and 2:15.
In Niagara Falls, shuttles will run from Community Missions, 1590 Buffalo Ave., at 1:15 and 2:15, and from Heart, Love & Soul pantry, 939 Ontario Ave., at 1:30 and 2:30. There also will be a 12:30 bus from North Tonawanda City Hall, 216 Payne Ave.
The meal is being sponsored by Molinaro’s Ristorante of Lockport, along with the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and the Judges and Police Executive Conference of Niagara County. All guests will leave with donated groceries and personal hygiene products.
