Help was being offered at a fair price in an East Aurora neighborhood, where residents continue the effort to remove about 4 or 5 feet of snow from their driveways.
“We had been working on it for a little while each day and had about half of it done,” said Sally Brennan, a school employee who was otherwise trying to enjoy the time off. “Yesterday a guy came by with his truck and offered to clear the rest for $20. We gave him $30.”
And when he was done, she said, he made the same, much-welcomed offer to other neighbors.
