Lockport man pleads guilty to garage burglary

LOCKPORT – A City of Lockport man admitted in State Supreme Court Tuesday that he entered a residential garage in the Town of Lockport on July 10 and stole gasoline.

Jared A. Person, 19, of Monroe Street, was allowed to plead guilty to a reduced charge of petit larceny and agreed to pay $194.40 in restitution for the theft and damage.

Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. scheduled sentencing for Jan. 14 and said Person could be jailed for as long as a year. He remains free on $2,500 bail.
