A search for supplies in Elma turned up little on Thursday, the third day of a driving ban in the town.
The lights were off and the lots were blocked at the Sunoco station at the intersection of Bullis and Bowen roads as snow-removal vehicles tried to clear the lot. Vehicles covered with mounds of snow remained in the lot.
Cy’s Elma Pharmacy, located in the Elma VIllage shopping plaza, was open Thursday.
So how was business?
“Non-existent, let’s put it that way,” said John Rutowski of Cy’s. The pharmacy had seen a few customers, he said, mostly people picking up prescriptions.
Firefighters planned to stop by later to pick up prescriptions for people unable to get to Cy’s themselves, Rutowski said.
He said he planned to drop some off on his way home as well.
