Bulletin board for Nov. 21

BASEBALL: The coaching staff of the UB baseball team will hold four separate sessions to allow players of all ages to learn the fundamentals and improve their all-around game. A Holiday Skills Camp will run from 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 27-28 for those 6-12. The objective of the camp is to provide quality instruction, while providing an atmosphere of fun and learning. Cost is $75 per camper. A hitting clinic will run from 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 29 followed by a pitching and catching clinic from 1-4 p.m. for athletes 12-18. The cost is $50 for a single camp or $85 for both. The Christmas Prospect camp will be from 1-6 p.m. Dec. 28 and provide quality instruction, while giving prospects an opportunity to display their abilities and talents through a professional style workout. Cost of the prospect showcase will be $80. Campers should bring their gloves, gym shoes and a bat, and catchers should bring their gear, if possible. HOCKEY: A Thanksgiving Day Shooting Clinic will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga. The clinic is for all ages with a cost of $25, or $20 if pre-registering.

SKATING: Two Black Friday Skating Clinics will be held Nov. 28 at the North Buffalo Ice Rink. A clinic for those born between 2000 and 2004 will be held from 8-9:30 a.m., with the second clinic from 4:30-6 p.m. for those born between 2005 and 2007. The clinic costs $25 or $20 if pre-registering. Cory Mickey offers a high tempo hockey clinic filled with a large volume of repetitions, focusing on skating, creative skills, and edge work often overlooked in a team-orientated setting.
