Babel reading, MusicalFare show canceled

A reading from the playwright and screenwriter David Henry Hwang scheduled for tonight in Kleinhans Music Hall, has been canceled due to the weather, as has tonight’s performance of MusicalFare Theatre’s production of “Ain’t Misbehavin’” in Amherst.

“While the weather is clear and the parking lots are plowed at MusicalFare, because of the travel ban that affects patrons and cast members we have to cancel tonight’s performance,” MusicalFare marketing and production coordinator Doug Weyand said.

There’s no word yet on whether the Kleinhans reading, part of Just Buffalo Literary Center’s popular BABEL series, will be rescheduled. MusicalFare patrons can call the box office at 839-8540 to move their tickets to a different performance of the show, which runs through Dec. 7.

Shea’s Performing Arts Center also announced the postponment of its “Shopping Soirée” fundraiser from Thursday night to Dec. 11.
