Youngstown man arrested with three kilos of coke

NIAGARA FALLS – A Youngstown man was arrested and three kilograms of cocaine were seized at a home in the 500 block of Fourth Street just early Friday morning during a joint raid by the state police narcotics unit and Niagara Falls police.

James F. Ashley, 25, is being held on a charge of second-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance. The investigation into the cocaine operation is continuing with more arrests expected, police said.

The seized cocaine has a wholesale value of $90,000 to $100,000 and a street sale value of between $250,000 and $500,000, according to State Police Major Wayne C. Olson.
