Niagara Falls man arrested under Leandra’s Law

A Niagara Falls man pulled over by state police Wednesday afternoon on the Niagara Thruway in downtown Buffalo for vehicle equipment problems was arrested for driving drunk with two young children in his car, driving without a license and other charges.

Julius L. McCain, 41, was pulled over about 3:47 p.m. after troopers noted his vehicle had inadequate brake lights. Once stopped, McCain was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated for having two children under 16 in his car, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and inadequate brake lights. McCain, who was driving with a suspended driver’s license because of an earlier incident, was ordered to return to Buffalo City Court for further proceedings Wednesday.
