Buffalo school system holding ‘Parent Power’ workshops

Parents of Buffalo public school children are invited to attend a free series of interactive “Parent Power” workshops from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Bennett High School, 2885 Main St.

The workshops will discuss how to advocate for your child’s education, tools available to track your child’s progress in school, how to bridge culture and language gaps, and understanding the “ins and outs” of Buffalo public and charter schools. The workshops also will introduce parents to community organizations available to help families.

Saturday’s event is sponsored by Say Yes Buffalo and the Buffalo Public Schools
