The holiday wreath sale to benefit Meals on Wheels is currently underway, with proceeds benefiting the program for home-bound elderly and disabled people.
The natural, handmade wreaths – available in a variety of sizes and ranging in price from $15 to $55 – can be ordered with or without decoration. Orders can be made now through Nov. 21 by contacting Kathleen Zastrow at (716) 822-2201 or by downloading an order form at www.mealsonwheelswny.org. Orders must be paid in advance and will be ready for pick-up the first week of December at these locations:
• 3 to 7 p.m. Dec. 5 in Meals on Wheels for WNY Community Center, 100 James E. Casey Drive.
• 9 a.m. to noon, Dec. 6 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4536 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park
Order also can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States for an additional charge.
Meals on Wheels for WNY, one of the largest Meals on Wheels agencies in the country, serves more than 900,000 meals annually to its clients with the help of thousands of volunteers. It also provides more than 250,000 meals for seniors in community dining centers.
