Shooting wounds man in lower back in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – A shooting in the 2200 block of Whitney Avenue about 7 p.m. Wednesday sent a 31-year-old Niagara Falls man to the hospital with a bullet wound in his lower back, Niagara Falls police report.

Police said Stacey Michael Lewis was taken by private vehicle to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where he was treated and transferred to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Police said his injury did not appear to be life-threatening.
