Brett Hull's foot was in the crease. His jersey could be in your house.
A Dallas sweater worn by Hull during the 1999 Stanley Cup finals is up for auction at ClassicAuctions.net. Hull, of course, won the Cup in '99 by beating the Sabres in Game Six with his foot in the crease, an illegal stance at the time.
Bidding at the time of this posting had reached $4,189. It started at $1,000. The auction ends Tuesday.
According to the Classic Auctions website, the jersey -- which was worn during home games and not during the clincher in Buffalo -- features the “1999 Stanley Cup” patch sewn on the right breast and "a nice scattering of marks on the front and on both sleeves, including some green markings on and near the 'Cup' patch."
