St. Bonaventure men's basketball center Youssou Ndoye and Bona women's basketball forward Katie Healy headline the 2014-15 Preseason All-Big Four teams, announced today. The teams were picked by media and athletic communications staffs at the colleges.
Ndoye, a 7-foot center from Senegal, averaged 10.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocks for Bona last season.
Also on the Big 4 men's first team are: University at Buffalo forward Will Regan and UB guard Shannon Evans, Canisius guard Zach Lewis and Bona guard Jordan Gathers. The men's second team is: Buffalo's Jarryn Skeete, Canisius' Phil Valenti, Bona's Dion Wright and Niagara's Wesley Myers and Ramone Snowden.
Healy, a junior from Lancaster, averaged 16.5 points last season. Her 18.1 average in Atlantic 10 play ranked third in the conference. She's joined on the first team by Buffalo's Mackenzie Loesing, Canisius' Kayla Hoohuli, Niagara's Meghan McGuinness and Bona's Nyla Rueter.
The women's second team is: Buffalo's Kristen Sharkey, Canisius' Tiahana Mills, Niagara's Kelly Van Leeuwen and Bona's Hannah Little and Emily Michael.
