The University at Buffalo men's basketball team is picked to finish fourth of out six in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference, according to a preseason poll of 20 media members.
Coach Bobby Hurley's Bulls went 19-9 last season and won the East title. But they sent three seniors to the pro basketball ranks. Javon McCrea is playing in Germany, Jarod Oldham is in Cyprus, and Josh Freelove is in Colombia.
Bulls senior forward Will Regan, the Nichols School product, was picked to the five-man all-East Division team.
Toledo was the overwhelming choice as preseason favorite to win the conference title, getting 15 of 20 votes. Toledo went 27-7 last year and went to the National Invitation Tournament.
