Once again for Amy

The third time may be the charm, but it will also be the end for Golden Globes co-hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.

The comedic duo who emceed the 2013 and 2014 Globes to rave reviews and strong ratings are returning for one more installment Jan. 11, but after that they’ll hang it up, Poehler told the “Today” show Tuesday morning.

“It’s (the) law of diminishing returns, which is why this is our last time,” Poehler said while promoting her new book, “Yes, Please.” “Unless you want to be a perennial host, there’s nowhere to go but down.”

She added, “It’ll be like our farewell tour,” then joked that she and Fey could also “be like the Jay-Z of the Globes and never retire.”

Marvel making more movies

Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and the Inhumans will be starring in their own films as part of Marvel’s Phase Three wave of comic-book blockbusters.

The announcements about Marvel’s upcoming movie projects took place Tuesday in Hollywood at the El Capitan Theatre at a special event attended by the company’s brass and key filmmaking partners.

Marvel movie chief Kevin Feige identified key dates for new releases that will make up Phrase Three. They included:

• May 6, 2016 – “Captain America: Civil War”

• Nov. 4, 2016 – “Doctor Strange”

• May 5, 2017 – “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”

• July 28, 2017 – “Thor: Ragnarok”

• July 6, 2018 – “Captain Marvel”

• Nov. 2, 2018 – “Inhumans”

• May 3, 2019 – “Avengers: Infinity War Part II”

Actor Chadwick Boseman, who earned raves in roles as Jackie Robinson and James Brown in earlier films, will play Black Panther.

He joined Marvel stalwarts Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans on stage at the conclusion of the presentation.

Snoop Dogg selling socks

Rapper, actor, producer, artist and youth football league founder Snoop Dogg can now add “hosiery designer” to his resume – thanks to a recent project with Sweden-based Happy Socks.

“The Art of Inspiration” collaboration, which launches in a few days, includes three designs: a navy-blue-and-white paisley bandanna pattern (with the word “gin” on one toe and “juice” on the other), colorful paint brushes, cans of spray paint and cartoon eyes in green, orange and yellow against a black background and a Rasta-themed pair featuring a lion, a pot leaf and stripes of red, green and yellow.

All three are available for pre-order through the company’s website (happysocks.com) for $12 a pair, though the hard-core fan might want to drop $40 for the Snoop Dogg box set, which includes all three packaged in a sturdy blue-and-white paisley cardboard box.

The limited-edition Snoop Dogg X Happy Socks “The Art of Collaboration” collection is scheduled to hit bricks-and-mortar retail on Saturday.
