Statistics show Ebola is least of our worries

Ebola is a frightening thought, with 4,500 people dying in West Africa and a handful of people infected in the United States.

But did you know that 800,000 children go missing every year in the United States? Each year, smoking cigarettes causes diseases that kill 400,000, auto accidents kill 30,000 and firearms kill another 30,000.

Maybe we should screen our friends and relatives more carefully, or give up smoking, or be more cooperative while driving, or stop behaving like we live in the wild, wild West with guns strapped to our hips. Just a thought!
