Outside food leads to fight in Chippewa Street restaurant

An Amherst man punched a security guard early Sunday after he was told not to bring outside food into a Chippewa Street restaurant, Buffalo police said.

Eric Langman, 33, of Sheridan Drive, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The suspect sat down at a table in Lodge Bar & Grill just after 1:30 a.m. and began eating his Subway sandwich, according to a report. The security guard told Langman to leave numerous times and began walking him out of the restaurant when Langman punched him in the face, breaking his glasses, bloodying his nose and swelling his lip, police said.
