Hamburg House and Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hamburg United Methodist Church, 118 Union St., Hamburg. Barbara Donsky, a member of the African Violet and Gesneriad Society of Western New York, will speak on African violets and their care. Members may bring their plants to find out how to care for and/or repot them. Plants will be available for purchase, $2. A business meeting will follow. The Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens offer activities for children. The indoor Wegmans Family Garden has hands-on programs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Sunday and Nov. 23. Activities include: “Egg Carton Bat” this Saturday; “Three Sisters Garden” Nov. 1; “Lavender Cloud Dough” Nov. 8; “Healthy Smoothies” Nov. 15; “Thankful Pumpkin and Pumpkin Treat” Nov. 22, and “Cone Cornucopia” Nov. 29. Others are planned for December and beyond.
