Troopers arrest motorist with BAC of .27

JAMESTOWN – A report of an erratic driver this morning in the Town of Ellicott led to the arrest of a woman whose blood-alcohol content was .27, according to State Police.

Susan A. Smith, 58, of Lakewood, was arrested after state troopers responded to the report of erratic driving on Route 60 shortly after 8 a.m. Smith was taken to the Jamestown barracks, where a test indicated her BAC was more than three times the legal limit of .08, troopers said.

Smith, who was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, was issued tickets to appear in Ellicott Town Court and was released to a third party.
