Ingersoll-Rand on track for Cameron deal

Ingersoll-Rand remains on track to complete its acquisition of Cameron International Corp.’s centrifugal compressor division by the end of the year, subject to regulatory approval.

During its quarterly earnings report this week, the Ireland-based manufacturer reiterated its target date for wrapping up the $850 million deal announced in August. The Cameron division being purchased has a manufacturing plant in Cheektowaga; the entire division has about 850 employees.

Ingersoll-Rand reported net income of $291 million in the third quarter, up 76 percent from a year ago.
