You had to know this was coming.
As whispers circulated yesterday that KISS 98.5's major announcement would coincide with uber-popular English boy band One Direction unveiling new tour dates, the storm of tweets from Buffalo's loyal 1D fans began.
When the One Direction-to-Buffalo news became official at 11 a.m. today, the Twitter decibels ascended to an alarming pitch -- reminiscent of this Sprint commercial -- as (mostly) teenage girls rejoiced, sobbed, (temporarily) stopped breathing and shrieked, possibly all at once, at the news.
Combing through Twitter, we did our best to determine the most out-of-control reactions to the first Ralph Wilson Stadium concert since DMB in 2001.
Without further ado:
Comment: The best part about this tweet? The random surge into capital letters at the end.
Comment: So many emotional moments in high school classes today. This is one example of many.
Comment: Kelly: "I really think One Direction should play here! My daughter would be thrilled." Pegula: "I did not buy the Bills just so boy bands could co-occupy the stadium." Brandon: "...who are we talking about?"
Comment: [glass shatters]
Comment: We were pigs-ing ourselves, too.
Comment: It's a scorcher out there. (Also, TMI!)
Comment: Cat memes are appropriate in almost all situations.
Comment: Ha, naked laps! No longer reserved for just bad beer pong players.
Comment: Go puke somewhere else, boys!
Comment: I don't think you understand how tough it is to jump off an elliptical.
Comment: There had to be a "cannot even" in here, right?
Comment: They may be One Direction to some, 1D to others, but to us, they're just the boys.
Comment: New Gork was one of the first settled colonies, right?
Comment: And we thought they were Bills fans through and through!
