Plans to redevelop the site of the former Fallside Hotel with a 184-room Doubletree by Hilton are scheduled to come before the Niagara Falls Planning Board tonight.
Merani Hospitality LLC has previously said it wants to build an eight-story tower as part of the hotel on the property at 401 Buffalo Ave.
The company received approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals in March for a parking variance and setback exceptions. At the time, it said construction was expected to start in mid-summer.
Another project on tonight's agenda involves adding a second story to the Budget Host Inn, 6621 Niagara Falls Blvd. Here's the full agenda: Niagara Falls Planning Board agenda - Oct. 22, 2014
