Buffalo’s grain elevators could showcase local art
In regard to the grain elevators at RiverWorks, I’m guessing people wouldn’t be as supportive if it were an ad for Time Warner or Taco Bell.
I’m fine with the Labatt Blue cans, but I’d prefer to take advantage of the grand-scale canvas and restrict future use to art. It could be an annual competition. Maybe restrict it to Buffalo-based artists or Buffalo-focused art, and the winner gets to paint his/her concept on the silos for a year. It would draw a bunch of attention and raise awareness of Buffalo’s art scene around the country.
