Contract to demolish 23 properties on tap for Niagara Falls City Council

The agenda for Monday's Niagara Falls City Council meeting is out.

One of the items is a proposed contract with Regional Environmental Demolitions to take down 23 properties. The addresses of the properties may be included when further agenda documentation is released Friday.

In June 2013, the Falls-based company won a contract worth roughly $245,000 to knock down 14 blighted buildings.

The committee of the whole meeting starts at 5 p.m., with the regular business meeting following at 6 p.m. The meetings take place in Council Chambers in City Hall, 745 Main St.
