Two Buffalo men convicted of shoplifting from stores at Walden Galleria on separate occasions this past summer were sentenced to jail terms this week by a Cheektowaga town justice.
Stephen Dummitt, 25, of Essex Avenue, and Stephen Jordan, 56, of East Amherst Street, had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of petit larceny.
Dummitt, who had stolen merchandise – including a watch – from three stores in June, was sentenced to six months in prison by Town Justice Paul Piotrowski. Jordan, who had stolen two pairs of shoes worth $309 from one store in July, was sentenced to five months.
Piotrowski noted Jordan’s history of 60 prior arrests during Monday’s sentencing.
