Chad Kelly part of GQ Magazine's feature on East Mississippi CC

Chad Kelly, the St. Joe's graduate who was kicked off the Clemson football team and then transferred to a junior college which cranks out top Division I talent, has found himself in the pages of GQ ... because the magazine did a story on the junior college which cranks out top Division I talent.

The story on East Mississippi Community College, headlined "Last Chance University," is an very interesting one, and so is the part that includes Kelly.

The part including Kelly is not very long, and just a fraction of the overall story, but it includes a major detail about his departure from Clemson -- his words to coach Dabo Sweeney during the Tigers' spring game that were a major factor in his dismissal.

The direct quote is of the not-safe-for-work variety, as is Kelly's description of his status when he was at Clemson -- before his fall, so to speak.

You can read those quotes in the story at GQ.com.

Here's another one, similar to ones the nephew of Jim Kelly gave our Bucky Gleason in a story in The News on Sept. 18.

"It is what it is. I gotta deal with it," says Kelly, who plans to be out of Scooba by December and back playing with a big-time school. "I've humbled myself since I've been here. I don't take anything for granted."

The article online also includes a photo of Kelly, one which he is now using as his Twitter avatar.
