Most real estate developers like to hold big grand-opening ceremonies -- complete with politicians -- when they wrap up a new building project. But it's not very often that they also take the time to produce a video that not only touts their own development project, but also the city at large.
That's what Jake Schneider did when he unveiled his latest historic renovation project last month, the Apartments at the Hub.
With a crowd of guests and dignitaries gathered in the soon-to-be-fitness center space adjacent to the main entrance, Schneider showed off a video illustrating the work involved in converting the former confectionary and warehouse buildings at 145 and 149 Swan St. into his new bicycle-themed apartment project.
The video also highlights the redevelopment and historic revival of downtown Buffalo, the shift toward urban living, and the use of historic tax credits.
Here's the video.
