Cuddemi scored three goals in the Golden Griffins 6-4 win at Army Friday night for the the 16th hat trick in program history.

Trailing, 4-1, he scored a pair of power play goals to help the Griffs get back in the game. He then netted the final goal to complete the comeback.

It's the first Player of the Week honor for Cuddemi, who twice won the Rookie of the Week honors in the 2012-13 season. In his two-plus seasons with the Griffs he now has 45 points (22 goals, 23 assists).

Canisius, now 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play, continues its Atlantic Hockey road trip with a pair of games at American International this weekend.

While the Griffs put on a dramatic performance against Army on Friday, it was Black Knights' sophomore goaltender Parker Gahagen who stole the show on Saturday.

The Buffalo native blanked the Griffs for his first collegiate shutout as the teams split the weekend series. Gahagen was named Atlantic Hockey's Goaltender of the Week after making 28 saves, including 10 in the third period.

Gahagen (certified #preptalkalum) was New York State Public High School Athletic Association Hockey Player of the Year in 2011 with Williamsville North. He also played for the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.
