UB women’s soccer continues to thrive. The Bulls swept a pair of weekend road games to push their unbeaten streak to eight games, and sophomore forward Celina Carrero was named the Mid-American Conference co-offensive Player of the Week. Carrero, from Newburgh, totaled three goals in victories over Central Michigan and Toledo, and raised her season totals – all team-highs – to six goals (three game-winners) and 15 points.
The win at Central Michigan was UB’s first over the Chippewas since 2007, and the eight-game unbeaten streak is the longest since a 12-gamer in 1999. UB is home to Ball State at 5 p.m. Friday and entertains Miami University at noon Sunday on Senior Day.
