Buffalo woman pleads guilty to tax fraud scheme using W-2 forms

A Buffalo woman pleaded guilty Friday before Chief U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny to conspiracy to defraud the IRS through a W-2 form scam.

Dominique Taylor, 29, submitted false claims for income tax refunds, using blank W-2 forms she obtained from local businesses and also altering legitimate W-2 forms of her clients, Assistant U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross said. Taylor faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when sentenced Dec. 4.
