Alleged West Seneca drug trafficker remains in jail

A 33-year-old West Seneca woman accused of drug trafficking remained in custody Thursday at the Erie County Holding Center over a week after her Edson Street home was raided by West Seneca police detectives and uniformed officers.

Shannon Herbeck was being held at the downtown Buffalo lockup on the $50,000 bail West Seneca Town Justice Dale McCade set following the Aug. 19 raid and her arrest on drug and weapons charges.

According to the West Seneca Detective Bureau the raid on Herbeck’s home led to the seizure of a quantity of heroin and crack cocaine, evidence of narcotics sales and the seizures of three handguns, including a .44 magnum revolver reported stolen in Clarence in 2007.

Herbeck is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell in the fifth-degree, criminal possession of a firearm in the fourth-degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.
