Inmate charged with burning fellow prisoner with macaroni and cheese

LOCKPORT – A Buffalo man, serving time as a federal prisoner in Niagara County Jail, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Niagara County Court to burning a fellow inmate with hot macaroni and cheese.

Tommy E. Clark, 27, of Evelyn Street, was indicted on a charge of second-degree assault.

Assistant District Attorney Joel M. Grundy said Clark allegedly threw a container of mac and cheese fresh from the microwave at another inmate April 1. The victim was burned on the face, neck and kneecap by the scalding hot food. Grundy said he didn’t know why Clark allegedly hurled the hot food.

Clark is under a federal indictment accusing him of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, heroin and oxycodone.
