MAYVILLE – A 50-year-old Town of Tonawanda woman was arrested Saturday on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated in the Town of Arkwight in Chautauqua County.
After state police were sent to investigate a parked vehicle with its four-way flashers activated on the side of Hamlet Road at County Route 85 in the afternoon Doris Garrison, the motorist, failed field sobriety tests. At the State Police headquarters in Fredonia she registered a blood-alcohol reading of 0.18 per cent, more than twice the state’s legal limit and she was charged. Her car was towed to Fredonia, and Garrison was released to a third party. She was ordered to appear Sept. 11 in Arkwright Town Court.
