Niagara County seeks vendors for annual technology forum

LOCKPORT – Niagara County is seeking vendors for its 14th annual technology and homeland security forum, which is to be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel, 310 Fourth St., Niagara Falls.

Single booths are $225, while double booths cost $425. The registration form is online at The event is free to attend.

“The past year has reminded us how vulnerable our computer networks are, to even low-grade sabotage like the Target card data thefts – never mind the threats of cyber-warfare, industrial espionage, and increasingly sophisticated hackers motivated by greed, ideology, or just the raw need to beat tech security,” said the organizer, county Information Technology Director Larry L. Helwig.

“We’ve held this conference for nearly a decade and a half because we want to be good partners to Buffalo-Niagara-Toronto’s business community and security professionals. We do it at no cost to the taxpayer, and we do it because it matters.”
