West Chippewa street woman arrested for lunging at neighbor with pocket knife

A 49-year-old West Chippewa Street woman was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly trying to stab a male neighbor with a stainless steel pocket knife during an argument.

Carmella Irick was arrested about 8 p.m. and charged with menacing and harassment after she and the 61-year-old male neighbor both slapped each other in the face as they were arguing in their apartment building.

Irick allegedly took out a silver pocket knife and lunged at the neighbor, but missed, according to a police report.
