Expedite manufacture of GM parts for recall
I am the owner of a 2005 Chevy Malibu. I have received three safety recall letters – one in June and two in July. After telling me about the defects and what can happen to my car while driving, it states: “Parts are not available. You will be notified when they become available.”
In the meantime, I, a senior citizen, am driving an unsafe vehicle. My concern is that something might happen while driving. The dealer service person tells me this is unlikely. Then why is GM recalling the vehicle for safety reasons? Why doesn’t it make the necessary parts to fix the three problems, or should I wait until something does happen? Shame on GM for not expediting the manufacture of these parts.
