Hanover wins best of show at Lewiston Arts Festival

LEWISTON – Paul Hanover won Best of Show with his painting, “Reach Out,” during the 48th annual Lewiston Art Festival along Center Street in the village.

Other award recipients follow:

Painting: Oil & Acrylic – first, Geoffry Harding, The Tuscarora; second, Tony Mauro, Doobie 05; third, Samual Whitehead, Metropolis #2; and honorable mention, Sarah Westphal, Triangular.

Painting: Watercolor – first, Kathleen Giles, Woman in Yellow Shirt; second, Fritz Raiser, Shelby’s Lillies; third, E. Jane Stoddard, Trisha IV; honorable mention, Kathleen Dworak, Reflections on a London Harley.

Photography – first, David Maynard, Gold Hill England; second, Bill Dziejman, Texaco; third, Philip Pantano, Solitude; and honorable mention, Ed Shaffer, Misty Quaker Run.

Graphic Arts & Drawing – first, Kim Reeves, Robert Johnson; second, Daniel Galas, South Grand Island Bridge; third, Nia Puccio, Medievel Illustrations; honorable mention, Deborah Kristich, Feather Skirt.

Sculpture – first, Dennis Fulton-Sears, Lefty; second, Fred Janik, Art Deco; third, Colleen Williams, Water Bearer II; honorable mention, Nicole Johnson, Marvelous Molly.

Mixed Media – first, Joel Zaretsky, Gaia; second, Marc Gaiger, Zen Clock; third, Matte Bexendell, La Pomme Shoggoth; and honorable mention, Suzanne Maier, Peaceable Kingdom.

Artistic craft: Jewelry – first, Bonnie Hedden, Seascape; second, Robert Ramaglia, Picasso; third, Patricia Cancilla, Purple Jasper; and honorable mention, Einat Agmon, Rustic Sunrise.
