Taxpayers are already contributing too much
This is to answer with a firm “no!” the Aug. 4 letter writer who asks: “Are politicians and voters willing to foot the bill for supplementary school programs?”
Food, bedroom slippers, neckties, the monthly rent, tooth extractions, violin lessons, bicycles, etc. Add tutoring and supplementary schooling to the list. Then ask any grandma: In your day, whose duty was it to properly foot the bill for such things?
Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to the private sector what is the latter’s.
See you at the coffee shop, where taxpayers don’t foot the bill.
