Independent film being shot around Buffalo today

Sites around Buffalo will transform into movie sets today, as movie makers shoot an independent film called “DWELLING.”

producers and cast members will be shooting between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the former Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital.

Other shooting locations include Lancaster and Clarence homes, Pautler Chiropractic and Wellness, Gates Circle Hospital, the University at Buffalo, 15 Fingers Interactive Ad Agency, Clarence Center Cemetery and the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center.

DWELLING is a paranormal thriller that follows a young woman, Ellie played by Erin Marie Hogan, who deliberately buys a haunted house to try to connect with the spiritual world. She and her sister, River played by Devanny Pinn, had a horrific past experience, and that drives Ellie to risk herself and her family to seek the truth. As a result, she releases a malevolent and terrifying soul.

Kyle Mecca, the writer and director, is working on the movie with producers Brandyn T. Williams and Arlynn Knauff of BeWILdered Media Productions and Director of Photography Matthew A. Nardone of NDstudios.
