Lockport councilwoman, attorney propose condo project

LOCKPORT – The town Planning Board has scheduled a public hearing at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 for a 20-unit condominium project on Sherwood Drive.

Chief Building Inspector Brian M. Belson identified the developers as 5937 Wynkoop LLC, a company owned by Councilwoman Patricia Dufour, her husband Ralph, and town Industrial Development Agency attorney Daniel E. Seaman.

The proposal is for 20 separate one-story patio-style homes, but using the condo format instead of being sold as regular homes.

Belson said that there have been some recusals from consideration of the plan. Planning Board member Adam Tyson, Seaman’s son-in-law, will not take part, and neither will Town Attorney Michael J. Norris, Seaman’s law partner.
