The Martin House Restoration Corp. elected Douglas C. Bean, chief operating officer at Eric Mower + Associates; Gayle L. Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel partner Heath J. Szymczak is a contributing author of a new book titled “Business Torts: A Practical Guide to Litigation.” The book was recently published by First Chair Press for the American Bar Association and is a how-to book on litigating a business torts case from start to finish. Szymczak wrote Chapter 5, “Motions Directed to the Complaint.”

Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, formerly the Amherst Museum, received nearly $20,000 from National Grid for the completion of a lighting update that will save the organization approximately $10,000 annually in electric utility costs. The update includes the use of state-of-the-art fixtures and bulbs that will help reduce the emission of more than 95,000 pounds of CO2 greenhouse gases each year.
