Bandits have work to do

The free agency period has started for the National Lacrosse League, and the Buffalo Bandits have some work to do in the coming weeks. Three players on their roster are unrestricted free agents, while six others are restricted free agents.

The biggest name on the unrestricted list is John Tavares. It is extremely unlikely that the 45-year-old Bandits star would go elsewhere next season. Tavares has not said in public whether he plans to play next season. However, Bandits general manager Steve Dietrich said in a radio interview this week he has spoken to Tavares about a contract for 2015. Chad Culp and Shawn Williams are also unrestricted free agents.

Buffalo’s restricted free agents are Glen Bryan, Alex Kedoh Hill, Drew Petikoff, Jamie Rooney, Joe Smith and Kurtis Wagar.
