Enjoy music, food at the Buffalo History Museum’s Party on the Portico

One of Buffalo’s most unique warm-weather gathering venues, the covered porch (portico) and back steps of Buffalo History Museum overlooking Mirror Lake and a slice of Delaware Park, will be the setting for Party on the Portico from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 18.

This series of happy hour events features admission to Buffalo History Museum, cash bar, complimentary appetizers and live music. The double bill features Nelson Starr, musician and talent behind “All Access Pass: Buffalo’s Own Food Show” – twice. He plays the opening slot – an acoustic set – as Nelson Starr & Tim Mroz Duo.

Nelson and Mroz then have a costume change and perform with their rock ensemble The Benjamins. The band also features drummer Chris Mattioli and Guillermo Izquierdo on guitar and backing vocals. Admission is $5 for Buffalo History Museum members and $10 for non-museum members. All proceeds go to operating expenses of Pan-American Expo-era Buffalo History Museum – tickets are available at the door.
