Olde Sanbor Days lineup to include chainsaw sculptor

Lewiston Council on the Arts will partner with the Rotary Club of Niagara County Central at the 24th annual Olde Sanborn Days Arts & Crafts Show on July 12 and 13.

The council and Rotary Club of Niagara County Central will present a weekend residency for chainsaw sculptor, Aya Blaine, who comes from Japan and is a member of the Chainsaw Chix, an international team of female performance carvers.

She has won critical acclaim for her beautiful carving style in numerous competitions.

She starts with three-foot tall log, and the master carver will complete her pieces during the two days of the festivities.

The old-fashioned country fair and craft show offers family-friendly activities and demonstrations.

Olde Sanborn Days is free to the public and is located at the Sanborn Fire Hall grounds on Route 429 near the intersection of Route 31.
