Motorcycle operator charged with drunken driving after crash

PENDLETON – A motorcyclist who was found in a ditch with his passenger early Sunday was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Jeremy W. Myers, no age or address given, was found in a ditch in the 6500 block of Aiken Road. Myers and his 18-year-old girlfriend of North Tonawanda, both reported not being injured, but Myers later complained of injuries to his hip and was taken to Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport for treatment.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, failure to use the designated lane, operation by an unlicensed driver and was additionally charged by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies with drinking alcohol on the highway after a cold, half full, bottle of beer was found on the road and Myers admitted it was his, according to the report.
