‘Wonderful Wednesdays’ set to debut at Burchfield Nature and Art Center

Crafts, games and other activities will be available for children as part of this summer’s “Wonderful Wednesdays” program at Burchfield Nature and Art Center, 2001 Union Road, West Seneca.

The program debuts this Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and continues on Wednesdays through Aug. 13. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required but a small fee will be charged to cover the cost of craft materials. For more information, call 677-4843.

Themes for crafts activities follow: Wednesday, patriotic (flag, rocket, bracelet); July 9, frogs and turtles (frog mask, paper plate turtle, wooden frog); July 16: pompoms and pipe cleaners (get creative); July 23: fish and aquariums (make Styrofoam aquarium, decorate a fish); July 30, beads (make necklace, bracelet, key ring, zipper pull, paper beads)’ Aug. 6, fun with foamies (decorate door hangers, frames, visors, etc.); Aug. 13, surprise fun.
