The Clarence Hollow Association will have a new attraction – fireworks – for its second annual Hollowfest next weekend in Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main St.

Fireworks will begin filling the sky at 10 p.m. Friday. There also will be amusement rides and fair food, as well as menu items from Hollow restaurants.

Live music is scheduled: Route 66 will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, while Hit n Run will appear at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. All money raised will go toward improvements and activities in Clarence Hollow. For more information, visit

This week:

• The Town Board work session and the Planning Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday have been canceled.

• Clarence Hollow Farmers’ Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 10717 Main St., between Ransom and Salt roads.

• The 39th annual Tri-Five Car Show takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Sunday at the Great Pumpkin Farm, next to Antique World, 11199 Main St. There also will be food, a beer tent, music, a flea market and a kids’ zone. Admission is $8 for adults; there’s no charge for children 12 and younger.

• The Clarence Summer Orchestra opens its 2014 season at 7 p.m. next Sunday in Clarence Town Park, 10405 Main St. The inaugural concert, entitled “Sea to Shining Sea,” will feature the Buffalo Master Chorale.
