There is no doubt that many people who read this feature story 35 years ago were introduced to ideas and technology that are now common place.
It reads almost like science fiction in describing the usefulness of the home computer and the disdain with which it was sometimes met.
The word “printer” is even put into quotes, as the word was thought of more as informal computer jargon.
