Blue Mondays celebrates two decades

One of the beauties of Buffalo's summer is the abundance of cheap live music during the week. These concert-goers have routines: Artpark on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Live at Larkin on Wednesdays, Canalside Free Thursdays, and then a gaggle of weekend options. Monday feels a little left out.

Don't overlook the Lewiston Council on the Arts' Blue Mondays, which kicks off the work week for the 20th summer in a row. The weekly blues shows run from 7 to 9 p.m. each Monday from July 14 through Aug. 18 at Hennepin Park Gazebo, 4th and Center streets, Lewiston. Admission is free.

Blues musicians perform inside a decorated gazebo, while attendees can bring lawn chairs, coolers, their kids and a book -- or choose to dance, of course.
